1 - Bhuj the pride of India 




The film, set in 1971, is about Pakistan’s 14-day raid on Bhuj airfield, using 92 bombs and 22 rockets. Apart from Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash in key roles. The film has been directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, who has also written it alongside Raman Kumar, Ritesh Shah and Pooja Bhavoria.

Bhuj: The Pride Of India was supposed to have a theatrical release, however, due to COVID-19 restrictions the makers of the film opted for an OTT release instead. The film will start streaming from August 13. Read more about the film.

2 - Shershaah



Shershaah’s movie staring by Siddarth Malhotra and Kiara Advani which is based on real incident honour captain Vikram Batra’s (PVC) valour and gallantry during the Kargil War. It’s the story of a soldier who became a legend for future generations, not just an inspiration.

Captain Batra, faithful to his codename ‘Shershaah,’ battled till his last breath and displayed unwavering heroism in driving enemy soldiers out of Indian territory in one of the most difficult mountain combat missions, which helped India win the Kargil War in 1999. Shershaah is Amazon Prime Video’s 37th direct-to-service film in a short period of 15 months, arriving just in time for Independence Day.

Viewers will get a preview of some re-created imagery from the Kargil war in the roughly three-minute-long clip. The interesting teaser teases strong performances from all of the actors, as well as enthralling dialogues, stunning images, and a compelling tale. The trailer has it all, from powerful background music that complements the video’s speed to some intense performances, making it a must-watch.

Captain Vikram Batra sacrificed his life in the service of the nation during the Kargil War in 1999, recapturing Indian territory from Pakistani intruders. He was awarded the title of ‘Sher Shah’ (Lion King) for his incredible bravery. The film, which is set in the 1990s, will also provide an insight into the era of naive romance, emphasising the chemistry between the leading couple- Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.
